If
you are purchasing title insurance and it is necessary for the title insurance
"survey" exception to be removed from the title company's title commitment, then
an ALTA/ACSM Survey will be required. This survey will show the location of all
of the improvements on the property together with the location of any easements
that encumber the property. The guidelines for the preparation of ALTA/ACSM
Surveys have been established and standardized by the American Land Title
Association (ALTA) and the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ASCM) and
have been most recently amended in February 1999. Meridian Surveys is a member
